In airsoft wars, you will come across different rooms that may have enemy soldiers in them. These enemies may be shooting sniper rifles from a window or just waiting around the corner for an ambush. You need to be able to safely enter that room and destroy the enemy team before they get to your team. There are lots of ways to do this. Here are some tips for safely clearing out a room during an airsoft battle.
If you are working with a partner or as a group, they should be supplying cover fire for you in all directions. Before you enter the room, stop, listen, take note of your surrounding and where the exits are. Quickly enter the room and begin your attack. You should have a plan worked out before the attack. You need to know who is going to take what area and position and what weapon will work the best.
An airsoft grenade, like the James Boom Grenade, is very useful for clearing a room. Open the door and roll one in and your sure to get a kill or two. Think about if there was a sniper up in a second floor room sniping out of the window and you can’t get a shot on him. Throw an airsoft grenade up there and make his day! An airsoft grenade can have a powder pack in it. The powder acts as smoke and will confuse the opposing team member while you or your teammates are shooting heavy fire into them and they won’t be able to pin point you.
M203 grenade launchers can be very useful when trying to neutralize multiple opponents. They attach to almost any M4 or M16 airsoft rifle. The grenade shells can shoot 18 to 96 bb’s in one burst. The grenade never even leaves the launcher, just a spray of bb’s are launched. Airsoft grenade shells are powered by green gas. You need to bust into the room and shoot the grenade at the highest concentration of enemy soldiers. You could also use a window or wall opening if one is available.
Landmines and claymores are great for picking off the opposing team as they enter or leave an area. You can set up a claymore at the door. Throw a powder grenade in the room through another entrance or exit point and force them out. When they run out, the claymore will fire 100 bb’s at them. This works great and is so much fun.
