I’m not very adept at ‘pewters or finding the right web sites, but am in need of basic, reliable information in order to purchase an air soft pistol for intensive steel plate practice. I shoot Steel Challenge Matches (now with Ruger 22/45’s, formerly with S&W L Frame revolvers) and am hoping a mid or low priced air soft gun configured like the Rugers I shoot, or the basic 1911 Colt style gun, will fill the bill. I’m older, retired, and unfortunately somewhat impoverished. I can’t afford to make a mistake in choosing an air soft pistol, even one that’s under $100.
Most important, I believe, will be reliability, weight, trigger (of course), sights, and similarity to shooting an actual firearm. The manufacturers and choices seem endless. Even the various functional designs elude this newbie. Can someone help me, or lead me in a direction where others can?
